CNESTEN TEAM
Fouad TAOUS is Head of Structural and Isotopic Analysis Laboratory- National Energy Center for Nuclear Science and Technology (CNESTEN-Morocco). His research is focused on environmental isotopes in the hydrological cycle, application of Stable Isotopes techniques to ecosystem, and geographic origin, authenticity of plant products, and food chains using stable isotopes techniques. Coordinator of several research projects in CNESTEN. Chief Scientific Investigator of a Research Contract within the IAEA Coordinated Research Project (CRP) on: “Implementation of Nuclear Techniques to Improve Food Traceability”, Participated in several research projects coordinated with IAEA on The study of the isotopic composition of precipitation in the basin Mediterranean in relation to climate change and models atmospheric circulation, The use of isotope techniques for improving the system irrigation to increase grain production in Morocco.
FIVE KEY PUBLICATIONS RELATED WITH THE PROJECT SCOPE
|
N. AMENZOU, PhD in Stables isotopes and applications on environment. He has worked in supervisory project management positions. He coordinated and organized the activity of researcher staff, in a position of group leader “Head of irrigation and climate change”. He was responsible for a team of 5 people group which are working in the isotope application on irrigation, climate, agriculture and erosion. He Coordinated/participated of many national and international projects, using environmental isotope. The main research topics are :
Use of nuclear and conventional techniques in the field of managing irrigation and crop nutrition; Soil erosion and sedimentation assessment using fallout radionuclides and stables isotopes; Authentication and traceability of food products using stable isotopes techniques. |
EL GHALI Tibari has a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences. He is responsible for stable isotope analysis instruments. His research focuses on the application of stable isotope techniques in the hydrological cycle, nutrition and authenticity of plant products. He is involved in field sampling, stable isotope analysis, and data analysis and interpretation.
